Throughout the second semester, Prosper ISD students in intermediate and advanced fashion classes worked on nature-inspired outfits for the annual district fashion show on Apr. 13 to fit this year’s theme: Rooted in Nature.
Sophomore Tanamya Lekshmi depicted her favorite natural elements and animals in her outfits. She designed two pieces inspired by the ocean.
“One outfit is based on a jellyfish,” Lekshmi said. “and the other is based on coral reefs.”

Other students like sophomore Paris Mirrakhimova focused on tactile details to convey a sense of nature. .
“It’s been fun,” Mirrakhimova said. “One of my pieces is about the sunset and my second is about swans.”
