Rockys Grind is a coffee shop operated by students of the Special Education Program. The business is meant to be an inclusive working environment where students of all abilities can learn to make and sell coffee. “We wanted to give our students an opportunity to have a student lined business so that they can learn vocational skills, interpersonal skills, and practice different daily skills that everybody uses,” Functional Academics Teacher Carly Buck said. “This is a fun hands-on way to do that.”
The functional academics shop is now open in rooms 1134 and 1136, although currently only available to teachers and staff.
