Ananya Nandyala, Hill Top Times Director

Ananya Nandyala is a senior at Rock Hill High School. This is her second year on staff, and she is one of the social media/marketing directors. In her free time, she enjoys photography, reading and baking, and hopes to have a career in the dental field. Ananya’s favorite animal is a dolphin and her favorite holiday is Diwali, the Hindu festival of lights. She is also passionate about traveling and experiencing other cultures.

"Through the fair I was introduced to a variety of new music and new clothing; overall, it was a very fun experience," junior Anika Maheshwari said. Vendors also sold items unique to their heritage, such as jewelry and purses.

As their routine comes to an end, the cheer team poses facing the cheerful crowd. "Buy into the purpose of your team or program," senior and head cheer captain Nicole Bitner said. "Being fully committed will make your program more successful because everyone will work towards the same goal 100%." Bitner appreciates all who came to support the fall athletes, as it shows the love and spirit of Rock Hill.

Senior Kati England, a varsity athletic trainer, takes the field. "I hope that our [sports medicine] team grows stronger this year and that we do the best that we possibly can to help all of the sports," England said. England is also the co-captain for the varsity cheer squad and looks forward to attending all of the football games during her last year being a part of sports medicine and cheer.

Sophomore Isaiah Orlandi and junior Amar Williams walk toward the crowd as the varsity football team is announced. "Just being with my friends and teammates and coaches every day [motivates me]," Williams said. Despite transitioning to a higher division, Williams hopes to have a winning record and make the playoffs this season.
