Rock Hill’s first ever Blackout pep rally took place on Oct. 1st, in the RHHS arena. “I think getting to see everyone perform and get really spirited under the blacklights stood out to me the most because of how high-energy everything was,” cheerleader and junior Nicole Bitner said. In comparison to other pep rallies, the cheer team members had to prepare for this one a bit differently as they practiced their routine by running through many trials to ensure that the routine was timed perfectly with the lights, and that it looked cohesive under the backlight colors.
