Senior Nevaeh Washington is known for helping others and giving back to her community, whether she’s walking to raise awareness for breast cancer fundraisers or organizing donation drives with the student council.
This year, Washington received the ICSEEU award for Service. “I was so grateful and excited to have received the award,” Washington said. “I had anticipated it prior and I just felt a deep sense of accomplishment.”
Washington’s positive attitude and willingness to help others has made a big impact on students and friends, giving her lots of credibility with her classmates. She is always willing to help others in any way, with a smile on her face.
As graduation approaches, Nevaeh hopes to continue serving others beyond high school. She plans to stay involved in philanthropy, and major in business while minoring in sociology.
“I would like to think that I reflect the values of Service. I do my part in and outside of Rock Hill for my community,” Washington said. “I’ve always loved impacting others positively.”
