Theater directors Denton Davies, Kirsten King, and Sariea Haney smile as they watch students perform during the theater department’s dinner show, “Death by Dessert,” in the school cafeteria. “The thing I appreciate the most about our directors is that they are always there for me,” Wilson said. “I like that I am able to talk to them about anything and they always listen.”

Ms. King is the head director for the production of Newsies JR. “The musical is full of songs that are straight bangers that are really fun with a positive message,” King said.

Senior Elizabeth Hill uses gouache to create a painting in her AP 2-D Art and Design class, carefully applying each brushstroke. "I've become less stressed from working on my pieces and trying to be the best of the best," Hill said. "I've been content to just draw or paint."

Senior Semi Akindebe performs a solo with the Rock Hill Percussion ensemble accompanying him in the piece, Bossa Nova Baby created by Liber-Stoller-Presley. “Bossa Nova baby is such a fun piece to perform," Senior Semi Akindebe said, “it was so lively and made me want to move!” Akindebe also sang in another performance with the Rock Hill Wind Symphony Percussion Ensemble.
