Wall people who kept tik tok still have it, it still can be considered banned because of it no longer being on the app store. This ban has caused people to be buying phones with tik tok on them. This has caused many people to have their addiction exposed, and to the cost of phones with tiktok to be incredibly expensive.
One problem with tik tok being off the app store is how it exposec peoples addiction. This is true according to inc.com where it states,“In addition to individual TikTok addicts who may be shelling out big for otherwise normal phones,”(inc.com). This explains how people have acted towards the tik tok app store removal and how people, and shows how people were truly addicted to tik tok. This way that people have acted has caused some more issues down the line.
Another problem that has occurred with the tik tok removal is the cost of phones with tik tok. According to RollingStones.com, “On eBay, a quick search for phones with TikTok reveals close to 20,000 offerings, with sales ranging from $510 to $25,000,”(rollingstones.com). This exposes how people are abusing the ban and how far people are willing to go for this app. This is important because it gives the government a reason to add tik tok back because of how it could possibly lead people to debt if taken too far.
In conclusion, tik tok being removed from the app store has caused people’s addiction to tik tok to be exposed and has caused phones with tik tok to sky rocket in prices. If this goes on it can leave the government with two options, either completely ban the app, or ring it back to the app store. If they don’t it can possibly lead to many more issues just because of an app.
