Soccer tallies narrow loss to Braswell to start off district play

On Friday Jan. 20, Rock Hill varsity boys soccer took on the Braswell Bengals at Children’s Health Stadium. After the Blue Hawks recognized seniors on the team for senior night, the game kicked off with an unpredictable back-and-forth between the two teams that was sustained until a last-minute penalty goal by senior Caleb Zavala tied it 4-4. Braswell secured the win in the ensuing shootout 3-1.
With a record of 0-2 in districts after the Blue Hawks suffered another loss to Prosper (4-1) on Wednesday, soccer verses Allen in an away game today at 7:30 p.m.
