STUCO holds decorating event to prepare for homecoming week

Freshman Anukta Ashok is moved by the amount of posters she has to prepare before the week starts. Showing the different colors of craft paper with painted names of sorority houses, "Yeah, It was fun. It was independent work," Ashok said, "We got to paint our own thing for our grade levels." These posters will all be hung up in the commons area where everyone can see them on Tuesday for "Sorority vs. Fraternity" day.
On Sunday, Sept. 11, Rock Hill High School hosted this day for all grade levels to create sign paintings with their peers. With homecoming just around the corner, administrators and students are preparing by decorating the school’s hallways with the theme of “Hollywood on the Hill.”
Each hall is assigned to a particular grade level, with seniors taking history, juniors taking English, sophomores taking science, and freshmen taking math. There were a variety of hollywood posters that were created by students as well as cut out stanchions and ropes on the walls.
